Duties

The Administrative Officer:

  • Supervises all support staff personnel in the OAAG with tasks to include: engaging with senior leadership to define and clarify requirements, developing and assigning work, providing feedback on work products, training and developing staff, promoting teamwork, recognizing accomplishments, and conducting staff meetings to build team cohesion while effectively addressing the needs of the OAAG and the sections within CRM to support their dynamic domestic and global missions.
  • Contributes to the planning and execution of visits from international delegations, special recognition ceremonies, and events hosted by the Assistant Attorney General.
  • Oversees various administrative matters related to the onboarding and offboarding of senior CRM leadership with an elevated level of effort required during a change in Administration.
  • Establishes internal procedures and guidelines to aid support staff in preparing final work products that are precise and error-free.
  • Serves as the administrative liaison between the OAAG and the Office of Administration (ADM) units. Also serves as the OAAG liaison with the other 15 CRM sections.
  • Engages in the community of practice among the section administrative liaisons throughout the other 16 sections to ensure policies and procedures are being met.
  • Performs office management for all administrative matters in the following areas: purchasing and contracting; human resources; security; facilities, emergency management; budget; finance; training; and information technology.
  • Manages multiple databases and tracking systems to monitor the flow of approvals and documents requiring Assistant Attorney General or other senior leadership approval.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-13 level, applicants must have one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 grade level. Examples of specialized experience must include duties such as: Planning, coordinating, and directing a major administrative function or program; analyzing and making recommendations for best utilization of administrative resources; providing recommendations to senior officials on administrative process improvement; and analyzing competing demands to determine the priority of request/tasks to be accomplished.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
