The Agency Growth Manager is responsible for the day-to-day account management of our marketer's affiliate programs. By cultivating & maintaining strong relationships with Perform[cb]s marketers, the Growth Manager, or GM, will provide consultative recommendations and identify key publisher opportunities that align with the clients campaign objectives to deliver the best possible ROI. A GM is expected to perform at a high level with little direction, multi-task, innovate and problem solve quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Reporting

  • Pull weekly reporting determined at the start of the relationship. This will depend on what the client needs to see internally. Ex.) WoW, YoY, etc.
  • Any additional reporting to be reviewed with Director of Accounts
  • Excessive reporting requests (more than 3/week) to be billed $150/request
  • Ensure accuracy of individual clients docs and Agency Client Performance doc on weekly basis
  • Responsible for adding any partner data not captured in tracking platform
  • Responsible for editing final numbers for the month after reversals/ order inquiries are finalized
  • Quarterly & Annual Reviews to be provided with Director of Accounts approval

Emails

  • Answer all client emails within 1 business day
  • Ensure all client email requests have been communicated to the rest of the team by CCing distro or adding and requests with an appropriate deadline to Asana
  • Create agendas and distribute to client cc-ing client team (clientname@performcb.com), prior to the call

Strategic Program Management

  • Fully understand client contract knowing how much we bill them, media fees and contract end date
  • Leverage 2-4 SMART goals per client on an ongoing basis
  • Achieve 75% success rate on a monthly basis
  • Evaluate and update goals weekly with client to ensure goals are being met or consistently evaluated
  • Recommend seasonal/evergreen promotions aligned with marketer KPIs and/or based on competitive insights
  • Identify and pitch upsell opportunities, including but not limited to:
  • New tracking platform integrations
  • Ad-hoc reporting
  • Compliance
  • Paid Media (see below)
  • Reversals - Growth Managers are responsible for checking in with their clients for reversals at the end of each month. Then making sure the Compliance team has completed the task before the transactions lock within the network. Also, adding the status of the reversals to the client agenda and reporting back to the client as of the status.
  • Order Inquiries - Growth Managers are required to look at all the order inquiries in the network and make sure the Compliance team has sent those to the client for review. If not, its the AEs responsibility to educate the client by adding to agenda to address on a client call
  • Responsible for maintaining and assigning Activation & Optimization tasks to PCs in internal client docs
  • Provide ongoing feedback to client team regarding proposed changes to promotional and payout strategy
  • Provide details/assets needed to secure additional exposure for optimization(s)
  • Project manage the PC on your accounts to ensure accountability and delivery of deadlines
  • Maintain agenda standards, including:
  • 2-4 SMART goals on top
  • Performance highlights, both weekly and monthly trending
  • Reasons and findings for any performance fluctuations - partner specific and program-wide
  • Hold each client call using Google Meet w/video, professionally dressed and with professional background (real or virtual)
  • Take thorough notes in Agenda Google doc
  • Provide call recap, outlining top action items, within 24 hours of call ending
  • Add all action items for PC in Asana within 24 hours of call ending
  • Place test order upon launch and/or addition of new action trackers to confirm functionality
  • Analyze partners who are not performing as well as they could be based on overall Agency performance
  • Outreach to partners to secure additional exposure to increase performance through a commission increase. Create list of opportunities for PC and add request for outreach into Asana
  • Provide details/assets needed to secure additional exposure for optimization(s)
  • Track optimization performance in client doc to analyze and recommend best next steps
  • Contract renewal responsibility, it is your role to proactively address renewals and position the account for a favorable renewal (increasing prices when necessary based on scope of work, agency costs etc OR favorably negotiating changes in performance pricing or caps). Client satisfaction and retention in a WIN WIN pricing scenario is key to this role.

Paid Media

  • Prepare media proposal with strategic recommendations discussed on the client call or sent via email
  • Prepare, collect and save client and partner IOs
  • Update paid media tracker in SalesForce with secured placements
  • Request assets for media
  • Push IO terms in platform (if needed)
  • Approve content (if needed)
  • Analyze all media performance and communicate via call, email or slack with the client
  • Recommend rebuys or secure a make good dependent on performance

Recruitment

  • Responsible for custom recruitment and content recruitment included but not limited to the following:
  • Top 50 Agency wide recruitment and gap analysis
  • SimilarWeb to find new partners by looking at competitor referral traffic
  • The use of platform discovery tools
  • Weekly SERP audits with top competitors (Assigned to PC) - search top keyword strings that your client identifies as keywords for new partner opportunities and for competitive analysis
  • Google Alerts set up to receive notification of new content being written about your client or their competitors
  • Attend industry networking events (20% travel)
  • Cross-sell successful partnerships from other Agency clients
  • Work with PC on account to divide and conquer all outreach opportunities
  • Where appropriate, facilitate direct conversations with PCB network team and collaborate with PCB Network team on affiliate opportunities

Partner Calls

  • Conduct monthly/quarterly call with top agency/marketer partner
  • Conduct call with prospective partner(s)
  • Send details to client team to ensure cross-sell opportunities go live

Client Communication

  • Prep, schedule and run all weekly client calls
  • GM active and answering the client in Slack channels if they exist
  • Communicate any overdue balances in tracking platform
  • Work with Accounting team to ensure on time payments (when needed)

Communication with Manager

  • Significant decreases or increases in budget
  • A new point of contact or a new higher up involved in overall marketing strategy
  • New large partnerships that youre excited about
  • Program changes such as promo strategy, partner strategy, seasonality, etc
  • Any tracking changes taking place (ex. moving from first click to last click)

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years experience with strategic marketing focus: Combination experience and/or education
  • Experience in digital marketing; affiliate marketing experience a nice plus
  • Knowledge in e-commerce, marketing product feeds, online strategy, and marketing analytics
  • Comfortable communicating to "C" level executives
  • Ability to navigate a positive, collaborative relationship with Client decision makers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with superior relationship building traits
  • Effective time-management, planning and organization skills
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, result-based work
  • Ability to thrive in a start-up environment
  • Experience with Google Suite, Salesforce: Asana and Jira extremely helpful
