Southern Airways/Mokulele is seeking dependable, professional individuals to fuel the aircrafts at the Kahului Airport. Candidates who know airport regulations and love to provide excellent customer service will enjoy working in this position. Night availability needed.

General duties include:

• Use fuel truck to fuel aircrafts as requested.
• Perform fueling and de-fueling operations in a safe and efficient manner.
• Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
• Maintain equipment in a clean and functional condition.
• Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel.
• Following safe loading/unloading procedures, correctly load the tanker truck.
• Communicate and confirm on a regular basis with dispatch to ensure that the correct product is delivered on time
• Ensuring FAA, Airline, and airport regulations are followed.
• Enforcing safety/security measures and protecting sensitive zones.
• Ensuring excellent customer service is extended to all.
• Capably responding to and accommodating changing operating conditions.
• Maintain accurate records as required.
• Maintain a constant awareness of airport conditions and communicating them with the corporate offices.
• Great customer service attitude and a willingness to “find a way” as opposed to “I can’t,” where applicable.
• Working knowledge of Airport ramp operations.
• Other position duties may include: attending safety meetings and driver re-certification training as required. Complete all other training on time as directed.
• Any other duties as requested by direct report.

Requirements for the position:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Valid CDL license with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Computer skills – proficient with a PC.
• Basic math abilities.
• Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written.
• Three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training.
• Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
• Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen per airline regulations.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 70-pounds.
• Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.
• Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform duties.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
