Aircraft Mechanic / A&P Mechanic - Piston Aircraft
ATP Flight School is seeking quality Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) to join our growing team. We need Aircraft Mechanics / A&P Mechanics that can fit in quickly, have a positive attitude, and have General Aviation experience working on piston powered aircraft; preferably Cessna 172, Piper PA-28, and Piper PA-44.
Position Overview
This position works as a team member performing inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on piston flight training aircraft. The successful candidate will possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced aviation environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality. Technicians will also possess the ability to dynamically move through ATP's computerized logbook management systems, adhere to the maintenance and manufacturer manuals, and make safety-focused decisions on a day to day basis.
Minimum Qualifications for the Aircraft Mechanic/ A&P Mechanic
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- 2 or more years of piston-powered aircraft maintenance experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer manuals
- Possess adequate tools
Desired Qualifications for the Aircraft Mechanic / A&P Mechanic
- FAA Inspection Authorization
- Private pilot's license
- Avionics troubleshooting experience (Garmin integrated avionics)
Responsibilities of the Aircraft Mechanic / A&P Mechanic
- Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable aviation regulations, manufacturer's instructions, and company policies
- Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries
- Follow all policies and procedures
- Keep a clean and orderly work environment
- Perform job duties in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Pay & Benefits
- $25 to $35 per hour

- 5 additional Paid Time Off Days per Year after 5 years of service (18 days total)
- 5 more Paid Time Off Days per Year after 10 years of service (23 days total)
