Description
This position is responsible for the daily monitoring, technical analysis, and resolution of network and gas module issues for AMI Solutions. This work will be done across multiple systems. They will be responsible for analyzing communications and data quality issues to discover the root cause and correct the issue within our systems. The individual will also be responsible for tracking metrics and performing analysis to identify trends. They may have ownership of various projects and functions within AMI Solutions which, could include coordination and execution of system upgrade and enhancement testing across multiple systems. Individual may also assist in various pilots with AMI technologies.

Education, Certifications/Licenses:
Required:
Preferred: BA/BS Degree
Related Work Experience:
Required: 3 years gas utility experience
Preferred: Prior experience with AMI technologies or RF/Network concepts
Applicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Required: MS Word – intermediate proficiency
MS Excel – intermediate proficiency
Preferred: Sensus or AMI technologies
RF/Network concepts and analysis
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functional Expertise:
- Accountable for working network and module issues each day and meeting productivity goals
- Analyzes and resolves network and module data issues
- Investigates RNI system alarms
- Issues work orders related to module and network connectivity and troubleshooting
- Triage network and module issues across multiple systems
- Troubleshoots module connectivity issues
- Ability to interact with and understand multiple pieces of data across multiple systems
- Reviews Head End reports to determine if there is a module connectivity issue
- Ability to differentiate between a network issue and data quality issue
Business Acumen:
- Critical thinking skills
- Partner with Supervisor to review business processes; identify gaps and areas for improvement, make recommendations based on findings
- Evaluate and recommend changes to business processes when new issues arise
- Assist in design and documentation of new processes
- Coordination and execution of testing for system upgrades and project related work

- Follow organizational policies and procedures and ensure compliance
- Ownership of various projects and functions within AMI Solutions
Driving Results:
- Ensure accuracy of work meets departmental goals
- Ensure timeliness of work completion meets departmental goals
- Ensure timely follow up

decide a course of action. Many items will require complex analysis and troubleshooting. Tasks performed each day could vary in terms of issues being analyzed and the resolution required.
