Currently hiring all shifts due to increased surgery schedule including weekdays, and weekends! This is a full time position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Nursing skills, patient care and compassion
• Assist surgeons with appointments (orthopedic radiographs, bandage changes, suture removals)
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment
• Constantly advance your knowledge base and skill set
• Assist with training of new staff and assist other departments, as needed
• Help cover on call hours

Skills and Qualifications:

• CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred
• 1 to 5+ years of surgical veterinary experience
• Knowledge and understanding of veterinary procedures and disease related to surgical procedures
• Anesthesia and analgesia experience
• Excellent communication skills, time management, ability to problem solve, learn and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to anticipate and be detail oriented due to high level of patient care.
• Must be an enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
• Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 50 pounds and work on feet most of the day.

Applicants being considered for hire must pass a drug test before beginning work after receiving an offer of employment. This ten panel drug test does not include testing for THC (Marijuana). Upon receipt of the results, a hiring decision will be made. A positive finding without an acceptable explanation may result in withdrawal of the offer of employment.
