The County of Riverside’s Department of Animal Services seeks an Animal Adoption Counselor to support shelter operations located at our Jurupa, CA location. The Animal Adoption Counselor's responsibility will be to present animals to the public in a professional and engaging manner, with the goal of seeking lifetime homes for the pets we place . The incumbent will be responsible for engaging with the community, building relationships and promoting animal adoption programs.
The Animal Adoption Counselor will assist clientele seeking to adopt pets; coordinate with adoption shelter animals; inspection of adoptive/rescue facilities; coordinate for spay/neutering of animals for outreach adoptions and transportation animals to outreach events; and perform other related duties as required.
The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills and be able to work collaboratively with team members and partners.
