As a Junior Application Developer you will assist in application analysis, design, and development (coding) for pharmacy applications. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications critical to the operations of CVS Health..

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Following the SDLC methods and best practices on the
team to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Developing and implementing technical solutions as
assigned, ensuring and adhering to all established
methodologies, standards and guidelines
  • Analyze and design documents, program specifications,
test plans and results, design, code, testing, debugging,
and documentation of those programs while delivering
assignments within specified time frames.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 28.85
Maximum: 57.69

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2
  • 1+ years of experience in application development or
equivalent technical IT background.
  • Knowledge on all phases of SDLC

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Java, Springs, and/or Angular JS is a plus
  • Web development experience with Java and JSP is a plus
  • 1+ years of experience in a Healthcare environment
  • Ability to create and execute test plans
  • Understanding of coding best practices and adherence to standards
  • Knowledge of batch programming and job scheduling is a plus
  • Experience with MQ Series, Web Services, WSAD, AIX, and UDB is a plus

Education
40+ hours of COBOL development training or equivalent computing instruction
