The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Principal, Production Services Application Support in Pittsburgh, PA, to maintain and support highly complex applications and their operating environments. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Reviewing configuration and queries within databases of financial systems and applications using MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, and Vertica; Reviewing the configuration, application architecture, and business logic within the operating systems of financial systems and applications using windows, UNIX, and Mainframe Platforms; Performing object-oriented programming (OOP) using C, C++, Java, and COBOL to validate business logic and application flow within financial systems and applications; Integrating within the financial services industry core and advanced concepts in data analytics as part of investigations, incident remediation, as well as problem and change management; Utilizing knowledge of both proprietary and vendor technology and validating system code effectiveness, data protection and privacy, user authentication and entitlements, adherence to enterprise policies and standards as part of troubleshooting problems and change management process; Instrumenting alerts to identify problems pro-actively using monitoring tools including Splunk, AppDynamics, Cloud Prober, and Prometheus; and Performing continuous improvement and building continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline) within a financial systems infrastructure.
