The Asset & Inventory Technician will perform activities related to imaging of laptops, desktops and installing new laptop and desktop computers at one or more locations. The Asset Technician will provide technical knowledge and expertise of Windows operating systems and software installations, as well as provide excellent customer service when replacing assets for users. Responsibilities include supporting the hardware asset management function by performing physical inventory of IT assets as well as tracking and managing IT assets through their lifecycle (receiving, deployment, change maintenance and disposal) to keep the inventory system of record up to date.

• 1 year or more of experience in an Asset technician, or similar, role; experience working with IT hardware preferred
• Self-starter, dependable/reliable, work independently or in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized.
• Basic knowledge of workstation hardware.
• Capable of prioritizing work and multi-tasking.
• Experience installing software and/or hardware on laptop and/or desktop computers
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to provide top-notch customer service to end-users being supported.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
• Working proficiency with standard ticketing and inventory management tools (i.e. ServiceNow) preferred.
• Must be able to move/handle equipment up to 40 pounds such as servers, workstations, monitors, etc.
