YOUR LIFE AS AN ASSISTANT CHILD CARE PROGRAM DIRECTOR

This full-time teaching position using your education expertise works during the day.

As an Assistant Child Care Program Director with our human services nonprofit, you have a tremendous responsibility in supervising the daily operations of our child care program. Your main tasks as an assistant program director include managing staff, maintaining the program census, ensuring adequate staff coverage, and admitting or discharging children. You also assist in the transition and inclusion of children with special needs or disabilities into our child care program, as well as inputting each new child's data and updating current data. Working as an assistant program director, you use your education knowledge, and provide resources, referral information, and support to classroom teachers to ensure that our services run smoothly.

Additionally, you have the exciting chance to design and implement intergenerational programs between departments or groups. As needed, you complete billing paperwork for our various funding sources, manage client statements and payments for the program, and maintain and submit all statistics and reports required by internal and external sources. With your exceptional leadership skills as an assistant program director, you supervise our volunteers and teachers to ensure that our professional activities are maintained.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Bachelor's degree
• Certified in Infant/Child CPR, CPR, and first aid
• Covid-19 vaccination

A master's degree would be a plus. At least two years of experience working with children is preferred for this teaching position, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. We want someone who is great at communicating with an eye for detail. We are looking for an assistant program director with a love of teaching. We need someone who has compassion and patience for children. This person should be engaging and organized.
