We are inviting you to apply for Assistant Director of Sales. In this position, you primary objective is to assist the Director of Salesin overseeing and supporting the sales activity/production of the sales team to ensure achievement of shared goals. Primary objective is to solicit, develop, and maintain accounts in assigned market segments through direct sales efforts and to ensure budgeted financial results are achieved and exceeded.

It is nessesary that you have a background, consisting of:

REQUIRED:

• At least five years of hotel sales management experience in a property larger than 500 rooms and event space of over 75,000 sq. ft. You must show your experience and proven success in developing and closing group business. Two years of senior sales manager experience is needed where there was significant time spent establishing rapport with leads, overcoming sales objections, and closing the sale. We do require that you are skilled in oral and written communication. You'll need to establish rapport with leads while discovering their needs, overcome objections and close the sale.

HELPFUL:

• A four-year Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management and/or other degree. We utilize a number of sales and business tools. It would be helpful to be proficient in the following applications, to include but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, PMS (Visual One), Outlook, RMS (IDeaS), Delphi and/or any systems applicable to sales functions. Any supervisory experience in the hotel/resort business is a plus. The ability to public speak is desireable.
