George Smith Partners (“GSP”), an AXCS Capital company, is seeking full-time Real Estate Assistant Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents to join an established team in our Century City, Los Angeles, CA office. This position is primarily responsible for leading & supporting the team with financial analysis, marketing decks, report preparation, closing commercial real estate financings, and ad-hoc projects.

Experience Level


Assistant Vice Presidents: Min. 3 to 4 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Brokerage/ Acquisitions/Financing/Operations, Investment Banking, Investment Sales, or applicable fields. Prior supervisory experience leading a team of analysts/associates a must.


Vice Presidents: Min. 4 to 5 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Brokerage/ Acquisitions/Financing/Operations, Investment Banking, Investment Sales, or applicable fields. Prior supervisory experience leading a team of analysts, associates & AVPs a must.


Responsibilities


  • Supervise and lead a deal team from analysis to closing
  • Interface with clients and capital providers to represent deals accurately
  • Underwrite – Prepare & review Excel models summarizing transaction economics based on information provided by developers and present the models to capital providers.
  • Data Collection – Collect & review market data using external data sources and then incorporate data into transaction models and investment summaries.
  • Packaging – Work with & manage team members on preparing & finalizing investment summaries for debt and/or equity providers
  • Meetings – Participate in client and lender meetings; be able to lead team meetings
  • Organization – Organize supporting documentation from active deals including engagement letters, third party data, meeting notes, models, and investment summaries
  • Marketing – Supervise and manage the marketing of deals in a timely manner; interact with capital providers to make a market for the project
  • Term Sheets – Ability to accurate summarize term sheets & create comparisons; understand all aspects of capital market term sheets
  • Processing – Work with senior team members on monitoring and managing lender due diligence checklists, documentation, property inspections, and coordination with 3rd party vendors
  • Closing – handle all aspects of the deal closing process

Qualifications

Mandatory


  • Experience supervising/managing/leading teams
  • Experience interfacing with clients & capital providers
  • Underwriting & modeling experience in CRE
  • Must hold an active California DRE Salespersons’ or Brokers’ license or acquire one within the first 3 months of employment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint and Word; design software proficiency is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Competency in financial statement analysis, valuation, accounting and finance
  • Ability to multi-task with good time management to meet multiple deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred


  • Competency in marketing and outreach, design software experience
  • Experience using Argus Enterprise
  • Ability to negotiate, represent and advocate for clients
