Reporting to Director, Brand Reporting Solutions this position will serve as a functional lead/product owner to lead brand reporting products across IM US. This role will partner closely with marketing teams to understand their requirements, translate those requirements into actionable insights, and provide thought partnership as the insights are turned into action.

Major Accountabilities (may include but not limited to):
  • Identify business analytics and reporting needs of marketing teams within US Innovative Medicines
  • Develop and own end-user vision, working closely within brand Marketers, Analytics and Data teams
  • Translate the business needs into actionable analytic-focused visualization initiatives to provide solutions and/or recommendations to enable the business excellence
  • Ensure leading-edge organizational capabilities in place both in the US and off-shore to address evolving business needs; ensure contingency plans in place to ensure continuity
  • Drive strategy to visualize Digital performance metrics to measure and improve effectiveness brand performance
  • Proactively liaise with stakeholders to ensure clarity and maintain governance so dashboards remain focused on tracking leading indicators and KPIs to inform operational and support business decisions;
  • Drive cross-functional efforts to improve process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support team in building approach (e.g., systems, personnel, processes) for end-to-end Digital reporting solution.
  • Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional teams, consisting of senior business stakeholders (Marketing, Data Leadership, Commercial Analytics, Digital Teams, and Data Strategy), IT, and external vendors
  • Driving Training and education around the contents and use of the data presented to the Analytics/Business teams.

This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000 and $216,000 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum requirements

What will you bring to the role:
  • BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Business, or other technical degree.
  • Preferred: MS or MBA
  • 5+ years of experience with business data analytics
  • Strong experience in digital & marketing data
  • Professional experience in life sciences, consulting, technology with progressively increasing responsibility; strong understanding of technology, business systems
  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical data landscape (sales, marketing, distribution, finance, etc…) and ability to do ad-hoc analysis from data lake using SQL, Excel Snowflake, Alteryx or other tools and support digital and analytical team needs
  • Good understanding of Brand analytics measurement KPIs in a pharmaceutical industry
  • Good understanding of internal and external data sets and knowledge to leverage them for KPIs
  • Understanding of data architecture to ensure feasibility of KPI and Performance
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, change management and consulting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, Partnership & collaboration skills
  • Ability to work and achieve objectives independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive approach to meeting business needs and identifying business opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective project management skills, as demonstrated by on-time, on budget project delivery.
  • Preferred: Experience working within the US Pharma industry, supporting the development of centralized data & digital reporting strategies
