KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Global Business Services to join our Global Business Operations organization.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced knowledge of global business services to develop growth and strategy plans and be responsible for a wide range of functional support associated with the setup of the Global Business Services & Operations (GBS) organization; ensure proper alignment to many stakeholder groups whose input into overall business case, value proposition and ongoing operations are critical; these groups include but are not limited to Controllership, FP&A, Procurement, Legal, Risk Management and Internal Audit
- Ensure the proper business cases, financial benefits tracking, internal controls, contracts and vendor reviews are in place to ensure long term success of the GBS operating model; ensure proper business case around the setup, rollout and establishment of Global Business Services for KPMG US, requiring close partnership with Controllership, FP&A, Investment Committee and Business Enablement & Transformation Office to ensure proper assumptions behind financial savings and investments, as well as the plans to track and monitor benefits delivery
- Monitor financial performance of each of the global centers and serve as a key coordinator to the Controllership and FP&A teams, as well as the Finance teams in each of delivery centers for the annual budgeting process; provide regular forecasting and reporting
- Liaise with Legal, Risk, Internal Audit and Business Resiliency to ensure proper controls, contracts and disaster recovery plans related to the global delivery centers in India, Jamaica and Mexico are in place, as well as any relevant risk related to our third parties; create and document procedures as part of the Operations Handbook to be leveraged by GBS Operations organization on an ongoing basis
- Act as a trusted strategic partner and subject matter resource in one or more areas; lead presentations, workshops and proposals for medium to high complex projects and provide subject matter insight in relevant areas
- Accountable for and drive and manage multiple complex projects, serving in a leadership capacity for large projects the outcome of which impact the organization and the firm
Qualifications:
- Minimum seven years of recent experience with operations and project management
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience working with varied functional stakeholders (Finance, HR, IT), captive environments and/or third parties in an outsourcing environment with experience in consulting services or business process outsourcing preferred
- Experience managing and delivering large-scale projects including project planning and monitoring, resource management (including project finances), benefits realization with ability to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next generation business and leadership needs; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and processes, applying expertise to make concrete decisions that impact the GBS organization and firm
- Ability to think about objectives from multiple perspectives and consider non-conventional ideas and approaches for achieving objectives
- Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; must be able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team; and foster the development of high-performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization; ability to participate in development of resource plans and structures and influence organizational priorities
