Job Summary

The Daniels School of Business at Purdue University is seeking an Associate Director of Student Life to lead the development and implementation of programming for undergraduate students that enhance the student experience and promotes student success. As the Associate Director of Student Life, there will be a need for you to Develop and implement new initiatives and programs that elevate the student experience and support student development, engagement, success, and well-being. There will be a need for the Associate Director to plan school-wide student engagement events, assist in selecting students for school and university awards, and develop metrics for assessing success. As the Associate Director, there will be a need for you to be an advocate for student needs and a link for students to other campus units while maintaining open and effective communication with students and sharing awareness of opportunities for students related to coursework, experiential learning, learning communities, research, career development, campus residential life, and co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. And act as a liaison between Daniels School students and school/university administration.

Requirements for the position:

• Bachelor’s degree in an education-related field
• 6 years of experience in higher education with a student-facing role
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects
• Must possess a high level of organizational skills
• High ability to communicate effectively with faculty, administrators, students, and community stakeholders
• Excellent critical thinking skills and demonstrated creativity in solving problems
• Data management
