Job Overview
Stopa America is a worldwide leader in automated sheet metal, long span goods, and fully automated parking systems. We have install crews that travel throughout North America (mainly USA) and install the systems prior to the arrival of the automation engineer. The Automation Engineer programs the PLC, sets control parameters , and tests to ensure proper function of the system.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Automation Engineers travel Monday-Friday to customer sites to program the storage system.
- They work with the install teams to ensure that the system is properly functioning and integrated to foreign machines.
- Sets parameters on all machine components to ensure full functionality of the machine.
- Manages install team on site during startup.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during programming related to both hardware and software
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, or Siemens Step 7.
- Experience Programming of machine preferred.
- German language preferred but not required.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics necessary

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
