We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold specialty beverages and taking orders from customers. Barista responsibilities include educating customers about our drinks, making recommendations, taking orders, and dialing in espresso equipment. Baristas must learn our menu and be able to educate customers and walk them through the ordering process.

Responsibilities

• Have a basic understanding of coffee preparation techniques and familiarity with espresso equipment.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations: Handle a fast-paced environment, stay organized, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Possess a genuine passion for coffee.
• Be knowledgeable in different coffee varieties, brewing methods, and the ability to make recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Handle complaints or difficult situations gracefully, and provide a positive experience.
• Pay close attention to details to ensure consistency.
• Understand the importance of workplace cleanliness, and follow food safety guidelines.
• Cooperative, reliable, and able to work well with others.
• Support colleagues, contribute to a positive work atmosphere, and collaborate effectively.

• Requirements:
• Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer Service experience: 1 year (preferred)
• A friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to handle a high volume of orders and customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain a positive attitude.
• A passion for coffee and a desire to share that passion with others.

Work location: in person

Hourly Wages: $12- $15 plus tips

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
