Summary: Responsible for taking orders and preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for guests as well as food orders for bar and restaurant guests. Interacting with all guests in a courteous friendly manner. Ensures all products are served to Hard Eight specifications and standards, and encourages Hard Eight promotions.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Adhere to all TABC serving policies and laws
  • Promote Hard Eight specials and Happy Hour
  • 100% accuracy with money handling/ tips
  • Maintains Hard Eight sanitation and cleanliness standards as well as adhering to all health department requirements.
  • Assesses customer needs and suggests recommendations while upholding the highest levels of hospitality.
  • Maintains Hard Eight inventory and inventory control standards and accounts for all inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintains the bar to provide a safe environment for fellow workers and guests and reports any safety hazards immediately to management.
  • Maintains an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and accounts for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
  • Maintains stock and prepares the bar area for present shifts and shift changes.
  • Follows all correct money handling and Point-of-Sale system procedures for all sales including tip adjustments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Point-of-Sale system.

Hard Eight BBQ started in 2003 with the first location in Stephenville, TX. Since then we have opened 4 other locations in the DFW metroplex. Hard Eight BBQ is an authentic eating experience where we serve \Texas Style BBQ\ straight from our serving pit.
