Summary:

Bartenders are important people and one of the first people you interact with after a challenging week. They must smile, keep the bar clean, make suggestions, remember everything, and know exactly what the guest wants before they do!

The primary responsibility of a RICC bartender is to take food & beverage orders from members and their guests and ensure proper input into the POS system. Most importantly a bartender ensures that all members and guests receive proper, courteous, and efficient service. The server is a part of a team that ensures high member satisfaction.

• All availability is welcome
• Nights and weekends preferred
• Some holiday availability required
• Fresh air environment with outdoor dining

Qualifications:

• Must be TIPs and Barrington Liquor Certified by first day of training
• Understanding of basic sanitation laws
• Must be able to read and understand restaurant terminology and POS systems
• Able to memorize member’s names and their titles
• Serving experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to legally SERVE alcohol

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare alcohol or non alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders, serve food and drinks
• Ability to memorize menu and cocktail recipes
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work space for employees and members
• Assess members needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Stay guest focussed and nurture an excellent member experience
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills required!
