'Olili Waikiki, Waikiki’s newest restaurant is opening soon. We’re looking for friendly and engaging individuals with a passion for food and service to join our team. Located upstairs at Waikiki Market, our new restaurant will celebrate Hawaii’s food culture through authentic, modern interpretations of “mixed-plate” flavors in a beautiful space overlooking Waikiki.

We are looking for Bartenders to join our brand new 'Olili Waikiki team!

The Bartender is responsible for selling, preparing and serving mixed beverages, wine and food. Duties include preparing and serving beverages, overseeing bar maintenance, making menu suggestions, delivering food and drinks, describing the dishes to guests, recommending cocktails, beer, wine selections, monitoring guest satisfaction, and managing inventory. Must be pleasant, conscientious, and professional with an extensive knowledge of mixology, beverage related products, and alcoholic beverage selections. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Take beverage and food order from directly from guests, along with suggestively upselling, and input into orders into the POS accurately.
  • Mix all drinks based on the standard recipes, using a jigger, to keep required beverage costs to standard.
  • Serve wine and bottled or draft beer.
  • Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins or straws.
  • Assist with conducting bar inventory with management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards of the bar.
  • Execute the Bartender Sequence of Service consistently.
  • Clean glasses, utensils and bar equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of bartending and/or mixology experience.
  • Knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least 5 years of dining room experience and thorough knowledge of bartending and service procedures.
  • Extensive spirits, cocktail, wine, beer knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency in food and beverage menu.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks, adapt to change and work well in an environment with time constraints.
  • Cleanliness, organization, and the ability to work well in a team situation.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills and Vibrant Personality.
  • Possess excellent math skills and have previous cash handling skills using a POS system.
  • Obtain a Bartender’s card from the Liquor Commission.
  • Must possess a recent TB Clearance.
