Introduction
We are seeking a Manager of Patient Access for South Austin Medical Center. St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, which is part of St. David’s HealthCare, is a 368-bed acute care facility offering a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties. Built in 1982, the facility is national recognized for its accredited oncology program with the area’s only adult Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program; a thriving 24/7 emergency department, a trauma program that includes a Level II Trauma Center with a dedicated Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unite to treat the most severely injured and critical patients; comprehensive cardiac, stroke and orthopedic programs; full-service maternity and newborn care; robotic services; and two full-service emergency centers in the communities of Bee Cave and Bastrop.

Job Summary and Qualifications
As Manager of Patient Access you will be responsible for assisting the Director in daily operations of all Patient Access functions and serves as the liaison between the Shared Service Center (SSC) and the facility.
What you will do in this role:
- Perform patient registration function when needed to ensure wait times are kept to a minimum
- Model AIDET guidelines in all interactions with the patient and ensure staff are adhering to the patient experience expectations.
- Ensure QA on registrations for all areas of Registration
- Provide continuous training for and communicates changes to existing employees
- Prepare payroll and completes monthly work schedules as needed to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Follow-up on patient complaints promptly
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
- Minimum 3 years healthcare management experience
