We are looking for a Beam Saw Operator for an SCM Gabbiani P80.

Duties:
Responsible for safe and efficient programming, operation, and routine maintenance on a modern, high-capacity Beam Saw providing consistent quality and timely quantity of material.

Requirements:

• Requires basic knowledge of production woodworking equipment along with the ability to maximize yield and machining through creative programming.
• Requires a strong attention to detail as each employee is responsible for the quality of the product they produce.
• Requires the ability to read detailed prints and the ability to use and read precise measuring tools.
• Position entails frequent lifting of light to heavy loads while standing up to 10 hours a day. The position also entails frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• This full-time position requires the ability to multi-task in fast paced, deadline driven environment as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more of on-the-job training under the direction of an experienced operator.
• Knowledge of Basic Math.
• Must know when to make tooling changes, how to maintain the sets of blades, and ensure that dull sets are turned in to be sharpened.
• Understand the full capabilities and limitations of the equipment.
• Complete demonstrated knowledge of the lockout/Tagout procedures for this machine
• Skilled in troubleshooting equipment to determine problems and discerning when the machinery requires the attention of Maintenance.
• Complete working knowledge of the panel saw operation.
• Ability to read an English ruler to 1/32” and a metric ruler to 1 mm.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications accurately.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for an entire shift.
• Lift 50 pounds.
• Grasp frequently/ constantly.

You should be proficient in:

• Blueprint Reading
• Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
