BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN (ROCHESTER) Job at PEOPLE INC.
As a behavior technician, you'll provide instruction and supervision to people in all aspects associated with day and/or residential programming, including but not limited to adjustment counseling, coping and functional skill building, functional activities and community outings. We currently have full and part time positions available with day, evening and overnights shifts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED. AA degree or one year experience in Human Services preferred.
- 18 years of age.
- NYS Drivers License that meets agency policy preferred.
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
- Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.
- Ability to read and comprehend plans and documentation.
- Basic computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals manually and mechanically as required by prescribed program/plan.
