Behavioral Health RN Job at Catholic Health Home Care
The Behavioral Health RN will assess, plan, develop and implement with the patient or responsible caregiver a comprehensive home health plan of care for behavioral nursing and identifies patient needs for behavior interventions. Case manages, coordinates and evaluates the plan of care with therapeutic, social service, pastoral care, home health aide services, other organizations and physicians for an assigned caseload.
- RN must be able to identify based on nursing process how behavior health nursing interventions are fundamental to the therapeutic resolution of physiologically based self-care deficits.
- Provided nursing care that is supportive of the patients physiological functioning.
- Correlates etiology associated with alteration in neurological functioning specific to DSM classification of mental disorders.
- Identifies the functions of neuro-anatomy in relation to an individuals ability to present adaptive physiological and psychological functioning.
- Utilizes individualized therapeutic interaction techniques in communicating with diverse population across the life span.
- Facilitates problem resolution with patients, caregivers, ect.
This position covers Bellmore, East Meadow, Massapequa, Wantagh and the surrounding areas.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one year of recent hands-on experience as a Registered Nurse
- Acute care experience in medicine and surgery in a hospital setting strongly preferred
- Candidate should ideally have Electronic Medical Record experience
