SRC, Inc. is currently seeking an entry-level biologist/toxicologist for an office-based, non-laboratory position based out of our Syracuse, NY, Arlington, VA, or Portland, ME office (remote telework options available). This scientist will review toxicological and ecotoxicological studies and contribute to the development of toxicological databases for our Environmental Health Analysis business area. This position will support various programs for the United States Environmental Protection Agency and related agencies. Responsibilities:

  • Extract and summarize information from scientific studies describing the effects of chemicals on human health and the environment
  • Critically evaluate the reliability of scientific data
  • Populate information systems with data related to the health and environmental effects of chemicals
  • Interact closely with other SRC scientists and SRC's clients

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and 0+ years of experience in biology, toxicology, environmental health, or human health related disciplines
  • Strong technical writing and quantitative skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, through both written and verbal communication, and work closely with others as part of a project team
  • Advanced coursework and/or experience (e.g., internship or class projects) in one or more of the following fields is strongly preferred: toxicology, mammalian physiology, ecotoxicology, neurobiology, reproductive and developmental biology, immunology, cell and molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, and/or pharmacokinetics.

Expected Salary Range: $52,000-$64,000
