At Echo Point Books & Media , we're looking for self-motivated and diligent people to help and grow with our casual-yet-dedicated business. We store and sell a LOT of books (medical, clinical, trade paperback, fringe culture, spirituality, sustainability, art books, poetry...) fulfilling orders out of Brattleboro, VT with a team of 25 employees. A cross between working in a bookstore and a warehouse, these jobs require a balance of focus, self-motivation, and clear communication.
Main responsibilities will be:
Order Fulfillment - the pulling and packing of books to ship out

Inventory Receiving - sorting, counting, grading, and organizing incoming titles
Ideal candidates will have strong focus, a good relationship with the alphabet(!), reliable transportation, be able to lift 50lbs, be willing to ask questions, and have a familiarity and comfort with computer operation. The ability to operate a pallet truck or forklift is highly valued.
While parts of these jobs will be repetitive as we ship out 500-2,500 books each day, we strive to keep things interesting and dynamic. The structure of our work also promotes plenty of cross-training, skill creation, and problem-solving. Examplary employees who can work with a team are as valued as leadership.
Compensation starts at $16/hr, but there is a lot more potential to grow. Seasonal overtime and bonuses are offered as appropriate. Additional perks are paid vacation and sick days PLUS an excellent book discount. And our casual atmosphere can't be beaten - we really enjoy our work here!
We follow a general daytime shift, M-F: 7am - 3:30pm, 7:30am - 4:00pm, or 8:00am - 4:30 pm.
