Mote and Associates is looking to hire a detail-oriented full-time bookkeeper.

Incorporated in 1987, Mote & Associates, Inc. is a full-service commercial real estate brokerage specializing in the Southwest Dallas and Ellis County markets including Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, Oak Cliff, Waxahachie, Midlothian, Red Oak, and Mansfield. We provide a wide range of professional real estate services including buyer, seller, tenant, and landlord representation, as well as expert property management. We skillfully handle all commercial properties including retail, office, industrial, church/school, and raw land. Job Description:

Managing accounts payable and receivable for the company and all property management accounts, including recording tenant rents, invoicing, collections, and demand letters.

Cutting and recording payroll bimonthly and reporting taxes, 1099s, W-2s, and disbursing agent commission each month.

Reconciling bank statements and producing monthly management reports each month for the property managers to review.

Responsible for administrative tasks such as filing and organizing documents, ordering office supplies, and managing office vendor accounts. Must timely file all documents to ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial information.

Make bank runs to deposit monthly tenant checks and other checks as needed.

Located at the front desk, you will be responsible for greeting guests in the office.

Requirements:

Must have at least one year experience in a bookkeeper role.

Applicant must have demonstrable experience with QuickBooks Desktop.

Must have a deep understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting.

Must be organized and detail oriented.

Must be willing to occasionally step in and help with other office tasks outside of normal duties.

Applicant must have own mode of transportation.

Must present a professional, pleasant demeanor when dealing with clients and customers, both written and orally.

Must pass background check and provide professional references.

Experience in Commercial Real Estate is preferred, but not necessarily required.
