The BSS Transformation & Billing Strategy Business Lead is a position that will support the transformation of Google Fiber's systems & tools and billing experience. A successful candidate will be equally knowledgeable of business needs and technical details, serving as the bridge between business operations and engineering. This role will be responsible for supporting the transition of our systems & tools ecosystem to cloud-based platforms, providing the strategic, business, and operational oversight in close partnership with cross-functional partners and technical teams. This role will serve as the primary business lead and engage with GFiber leadership on critical decisions related to product catalog, order management, agent experience, subscription revenue, and billing.
This position will also be responsible for the development of a multi-year billing and payments roadmap, and oversee the due diligence, strategic planning, and execution of large-scale billing programs. This role will identify new capabilities to optimize the billing, invoicing, and payment experience and manage the strategic relationship with billing/payment vendors.
- Responsibilities
- Responsible for strategic planning related to systems & tools and billing transformation programs, working with cross-functional partners, technical experts, and GFiber leadership on strategic decisions
- Develop the mult-year billing and payments roadmap, including overseeing strategic relationships with billing/payment vendors
- Lead large cross-functional teams, serving as the bridge between business and technical teams to define requirements, triage issues, develop playbooks, and execute testing/validation plans to deliver best-in-class functionality and customer experiences
- Manage leadership communications, including updates, escalations, and decision-making
Minimum Qualifications (MQs)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
- 10-15 years of systems & tools or billing strategy/operations experience
- Knowledge of telecommunications billing systems, processes, and vendors
- Experience leading large-scale transformation programs and new vendor integrations
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- MBA or similar advanced degree
- 20+ years in the telecom or cable industry in similar role or function
- Experience developing executive-level presentations that are insight-driven and recommendations-focused
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end transformation projects with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors, with the ability to deliver strategic insights while also understanding tactical execution plans
- Ability to facilitate collaboration with diverse groups and stakeholders across all levels
- Capacity to understand business & operational needs and translate to technical requirements
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $203K - $272K + bonus + equity + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
