Building Maintenance Job at Tyson Foods, Inc.
Job Details:
The team member is responsible for maintaining all buildings and outside grounds throughout the year. Jobs included, but not limited to: painting, mowing, weeding, climbing ladders, and working at various heights and surfaces, changing light bulbs, removing snow and ice, building forms and pouring concrete, framing walls, and using power tools. Must be willing to occasionally lift up to 80 lbs. with assistance. Minimal to heavy force of various push/pulls are involved with different tasks. Other tasks include janitorial work such as trash removal, hanging plastic in various locations including production, cleaning windows, break rooms, and bathrooms. This team member will also deliver packages and boxes to designated locations. This team member will work with, store, and handle chemicals necessary for cleaning and painting. This team member must be willing to wear personal protective equipment as needed for job assignments. This team member must be willing to stand or walk the entire duration of the shift. The use of stairs is necessary to get into certain areas of the building. Must be willing to obtain Forklift, Lockout/Tagout, and Confined Space Certification and work in confined spaces. Must be willing to be trained in Animal Well Being as well as do monthly trainings to ensure that animal handling practices are followed to adhere to all government regulations and Tyson policies. The temperature of the work area could be below 0° or as high as 100° depending on the area in which the job is performed. Must be able to read and understand manuals, execute and document work completed on scheduling sheet. This Team Member needs to be able to follow all safety rules, which include but not limited to following Tyson Core Safety Mandates and wear personal protective equipment correctly. Daily work will be determined and assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration:
Must have a good safety record. Must not have a safety discipline within the past year.
