Working in a team environment, the Intake Lead will focus on analyzing, designing, and developing governance and technology-based solutions for cloud deployments. Our team assists the Government in the broad category of cloud advisory services. We work with project teams planning individual systems deployments to the cloud, working overall governance models, reference architecture and deployed architecture for cloud services, and long-term improvements in process maturity.

You will work alongside technical, functional, and industry specialists to assist with the governance, implementation, and integration of cloud deployment solutions. You enable client satisfaction by being timely and responsive in the delivery of services and work products that enable proper project tracking, communications, and status of each project deploying systems to the cloud. You can work with people with different styles of communication and always stay in customer service mode.

Daily tasks: The successful candidate will lead the Intake Team through their daily functions, resolve issues, and communicate with team leadership and Government personnel to ensure there is proper awareness and, at times, escalation. The Intake Team’s daily tasks include:

• Introduce and guide new project teams into the cloud deployment lifecycle and onboard them into the process by collecting data, create a tracking record and create required document repositories .

• Following the lifecycle, schedule working sessions for ongoing analysis and data collection

• Collect documentation and key data points for the application/project metadata so the system is tied to other application inventory and tracking systems using this metadata.

• Maintain continuous communications with each project team, including other assigned resources (systems architects, operations coordinators, etc.), to ensure there is a shared vision on tasks (completed and upcoming) required to deploy to the cloud successfully.

• Maintain data and artifacts in document sets and tracking systems to ensure the information is current, complete, and accurate. (We use a document management system and a custom software solution to track progress and artifacts).

• Escalate issues to leadership to assist with resolution.

• Transition project teams to the cloud operations group for provisioning and long-term sustainment.

• Report status for each project weekly in meetings.

In addition, you will support the team in the following areas:

• Coordinate with other parts of the organization to understand incoming projects, their timing and to ensure the proper resources are assigned.

• Participate in or lead detailed definitions of new/improved workflows, processes, and decision points to enable effective long-term operations of the cloud advisory team.

• Develop and recommend process improvements

• Actively engage in or lead documentation improvements.

Requirements:

Our team assists project teams in their planning for and delivering cloud deployments by identifying and collecting key information, coordinating with the integrated team to achieve the desired deployment pace, communicating issues, and maintaining compliance with all processes and policies. The Analyst possesses and demonstrates the following qualities:

• Experience in working with cloud-based information technology (IT), creating various process solutions and advancements to improve our ability to guide their deployment to the cloud

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• SharePoint for daily functions of managing documents and artifacts

• Visio and PowerPoint experience is preferred

• Demonstrable understanding of cloud vs. on-premise computing models

Experience and Hiring Requirements

• 10+ years of applicable experience

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree - Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Math, or equivalent

• US Citizens and Permanent Residents (Green Card)

• Ability to pass a Government background check and pre-employment drug screen

• Preferred candidates will possess cloud certifications such as AWS Practitioner and/or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or better.

o We will accept candidates without the listed certifications provided Veteran’s Engineering demonstrates a plan in place for the candidate to pass the exam for at least one of the certifications within 60 days of onboarding.
