Job Description:
Position Summary:
What you will do:
- Participate in Risk and Control or BAU projects. This may include working on the detailed business requirements, to formally document and validate the requirements into technical solutions, whilst adhering to Bank policies and procedures
- Escalate to lead Business Analyst or Project Manager, if further clarity needed on requirements and where risks and/or issues are identified during the analysis cycle
- Participate in project meeting routines or Risk and Control routines
- Provide regular updates to project lead, to evidence progress against plan for assigned deliverables
- Help to devise test plans to verify developed software meets the agreed business requirements
- Participate in software testing cycles. This will involve conducting tests in non-production environments and comparing the results to requirements, supporting business users with their testing and assisting with software implementation into a production environment. Additionally, you will need to document any testing evidence to a level, which can be understood by project team members, Vendors and Auditors.
- Level 3 support including out of hours support on a rotational basis (evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays)
Requirements:
- You are a good team player and collaborative. You will need to liaise with both technical and business colleagues locally in the UK and at other locations in Singapore, India, New Jersey and Chicago.
- You should also be able to work independently. The role will require you to take information and translate into business requirements. You may need to identify the right people in other parts of the firm to provide advice on resolving BAU/Risk and Control problems. You can demonstrate a sense of ownership and urgency to see issues through to resolution.
- You are an enthusiastic learner who looks to develop new and existing technical skills. You will learn how to understand the existing business, document existing and future process flows, identify and prioritize the user requirement, highlighting any risks and issues.
- You have good analytical skills which will be required to develop solutions for complex business requirements.
- You can problem solve by using a variety of skills, both existing and those which can be learnt on the job.
- You have good organizational skills and can handle multiple tasks at any one time and work to strict deadlines.
- You are a good communicator and can communicate effectively at all levels, including developers, management and business stakeholders. You should be able to document clear, concise and well organised support guides, which will assist the support teams, as and when issues arise.
- You have an innovative mindset. You are not afraid to ask why and have the ability to question established practices, with a view to continuous improvement.
- You are flexible and will be able to work some weekends and Bank Holidays, as required.

Leads diverse administrative functions usually for a large department or for a complete business unit. Functions may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. Administers bank programs and policies and may direct the development of the department's administrative policies and procedures. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department's or business unit's functional operations. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May direct workflow activities.
