Overview

The Business Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial needs of the organization with regards to reporting, accruals, and budgeting/forecasting. The Analyst supports the preparation of monthly accruals and reports on expense and capital spending, with emphasis on explaining variances from plan and forecast. The Analyst is responsible for maintaining and improving models that can provide guidance in forecasting expense and explaining variances.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain CapEx budget actuals and forecast details to be able to prepare the monthly forecast, month-end, and EOY accruals
• Develop models and tools that can improve monthly forecasting with the emphasis on being able to explain variances, and maintain project financial costs and ETC
• Maintain budget trackers
• Assist with invoice payment and approvals
• Assist with change order submissions and approvals
• New vendor set-up
• Create and submit PO Requests
• Research and resolve PO Requests and invoices issues

Skills and Abilities:

• 2-4 years of Finance/Accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP and P&L preparation
• Ability to deliver accurate results and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to analyze data and perform advanced financial analysis. Advanced Excel user, knowledge of PowerPoint.
• Planning software experience a plus.

Education: BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
