An international electromechanical manufacturing client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join their team in Malvern, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components necessary for the production of our products, as well as developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and agreements with suppliers
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand
- Monitor and track supplier performance and take corrective action when necessary
- Identify and implement cost savings opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in materials and production processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing and planning in the electromechanical manufacturing industry
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
