We are looking for a Cabinet Maker:

A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Good knowledge of: saws, drills, planers, jointers, routers, boring, tenoning, and mortising machines, shapers, sanders, and other woodworking machinery related to cabinetmaking

• Good knowledge of cabinetry & other various wood structures/products

• Experience working with laminates

• Experience in manufacturing and assembly

• Ability to take accurate measurements

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings

• Able to give feedback for continuous improvement of product

• A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all work with ability to produce good quality work

• Ability to use own initiative

• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

• Flexible approach to working time to meet deadlines/peak workloads

• Able to work overtime/weekends when required

• Must be a team player

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent..

• Knowledge of Basic Math.

• Must know when to make tooling changes, how to maintain the sets of blades, and ensure that dull sets are turned in to be sharpened.

• Understand the full capabilities and limitations of the equipment.

• Complete demonstrated knowledge of the lockout/Tagout procedures for this machine

• Skilled in troubleshooting equipment to determine problems and discerning when the machinery requires the attention of Maintenance.

• Complete working knowledge of the panel saw operation.

• Ability to read an English ruler to 1/32” and a metric ruler to 1 mm.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications accurately.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for an entire shift.

• Lift 50 pounds.

• Grasp frequently/ constantly.

You should be proficient in:

• Blueprint Reading
• Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills

Salary info:

$18 - $30 / hr
