BAUER COMPRESSORS INC. is looking to hire a Corporate Cafeteria Coordinator. The Corporate Cafeteria Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of managing, planning and executing a small corporate cafeteria operation; serving approximately 50 – 100 lunch meals between 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM. This is a hands-on position which includes food preparation and cleaning duties in addition to planning and management responsibilities. The Corporate Cafeteria Coordinator is responsible for managing a part-time employee who will assist with food preparation, stocking, serving, and cleaning functions. The Corporate Cafeteria Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Company’s Wellness Program initiatives by serving wholesome, healthy food; therefore, a passion for creating and serving “clean food” is an absolute must.

JOB FUNCTIONS
Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the cafeteria.
  • Ensure that all sanitation, health and safety regulations are met in regards to food, equipment, supplies and employees. Ensures the standards are met at all times.
  • Responsible for menu planning and publishing the menu.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of supplies.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Responsible for taking inventory, ordering food and the necessary supplies for daily food production.
  • Responsible for food quality (taste and appearance) and quantity.
  • Retains administrative records regarding meal plans and supply costs.
  • Responsible for the cafeteria budget and cost control.
  • Manage the Cafeteria’s Point of Sale System.
  • Responsible for food handling, food preparation and food serving.
  • Responsible for the inventory of the “Grab and Go Case”
  • Responsible for managing meal ingredients and nutritional reference guide; meals fulfill nutritional standards
  • Responsible for leading and directing the cafeteria associates
  • Responsible for customer service

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma
  • Three years of experience managing a commercial kitchen and/or cafeteria
  • Comprehensive knowledge of culinary policies, procedures and practices
  • Culinary experience, food preparation and menu-planning
  • Creativity in creating food menus which cater to a wide variety of palates
  • Understanding of food ingredients and food allergens
  • A passion for clean and healthy foods including organic foods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Health Department Certifications for Food Handling and Preparation
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.



VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Culinary Arts Degree.
  • Accounting/Inventory Control experience a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use of eyes for close vision, use hands, fingers, grasp, handle, reach, listen, talk and may need to talk on the telephone while taking notes. Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to 30 pounds or ask for assistance.

Normal working schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm. The noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed the normal dBA. The employee is required to wear eye protection when walking through the plant.
