Responsibilities for the position include:

Calibrates test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.

Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.

Sets up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.

Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.

Support the Metrology Department in identifying potential process improvements.

May supervise and conform quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Travel is required for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma, or equivalent experience / combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical / para-engineering task.

One year minimum documented calibration laboratory experience.

Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.

Ability to interpret specifications.

Strong background in electronic, electrical, and/or microwave calibration.

Physical / Dimensional calibration experience.

Experience completing and maintaining accurate records in the calibration management database.

Maintain skill proficiency through metrology / calibration training courses.

Manage personal tasks to ensure timely customer support as directed by Metrology Department Manager.

Experience in identifying potential process improvements.

Ability to travel up to 20%.

Must be able to lift to 30 lbs.
Desired Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication

Excellent computer skills

Optical Calibration (Mirrors, Optical Alignment, and Lasers) experience a plus

Experience with LabView, SureCal, MetCal and Cal Exec and/or other automated metrology software a plus

RF Calibration experience desired

PMEL, TMDE background a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $62,100 - $119,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $71,400 - $129,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
