The Lamb Center (TLC) is a daytime drop-in shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, VA. About the Capital Campaign Manager

The Capital Campaign Manager will implement and manage all aspects of a $7.9M+ Capital Campaign through Q4 of 2025, including all solicitation phases of the campaign, event planning, donor cultivation, and support of campaign publications and communications.

The Capital Campaign Manager is responsible for implementing and modifying, where necessary, the campaign strategy, including establishing solicitation priorities, managing prospect lists, executing targeted cultivation plans and solicitation strategies for a range of projects, providing support to Director of Development, campaign committee, board members and volunteers with solicitation efforts, and supporting the planning and management of cultivation events.

This person must be fully supportive of the mission, vision, and values of the Lamb Center.

Purpose

To support a multi-year capital campaign that is projected to conclude at the end of 2025.

Roles and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Development:

• Review the feasibility study and assist with campaign sub-goals;
• Participate in campaign committee meetings;
• Coordinate scheduling of donor solicitations and visits with campaign committee members, the Director of Development, the Executive Director, and board members;
• Identify prospects on the individual, corporation, and foundation levels;
• In coordination with the Communications Manager and Director of Development, create and edit campaign communications, such as acknowledgments, follow-up letters, and newsletters;
• Devise and manage logistics for cultivation events with the Director of Development, Communications Manager, and campaign committee;
• Track all campaign activities in donor CRM, Bloomerang;
• Report on campaign metrics and progress of campaign goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years of development experience, preferably with a capital campaign, including management and oversight, events, communications, cultivation, and solicitation
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to think analytically and strategically
• Capable of working well with a team as well as independently
• Development CRM experience is required. Bloomerang experience is a plus
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

A background working with homeless population is a plus.

While this position is projected to be a 3-year assignment, there is an opportunity to be considered for an ongoing development team position at the conclusion of the capital campaign at the end of 2025.
