Location Information
Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person's own home or in one of our four Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview and Woodbury.
Since 2016, Saint Therese of Woodbury is our youngest community. Social vibrancy, distinctive living spaces and a continuum of care blend to create a unique senior living experience. We offer 216 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments; 56 skilled and transitional care suites. The Redwoods Senior Apartments joined the campus in 2017.
Responsibilities
The Executive Director, will be involved in every facet of the operation - Hospitality, Health Services, Programming, and the Business Office. The Executive Director maintains policies and procedures that actively reinforce our mission, core values and corporate directives and directs strategic and financial planning for the community.
- Supports the mission and values of Saint Therese.
- Develops implements and monitors strategic plan and associated policies, procedures and programs to ensure achievement of business objectives.
- Makes recommendations and takes action to ensure the long-term financial viability of the community.
- Monitors financial performance and meets budgetary goals. Develops and implements annual financial budget.
- Recognizes and rewards staff for exemplary performance and participation in organization-wide initiatives.
- Demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to provide services to the residents.
- Takes action to control or minimize unnecessary error or risk.
- Participates as a member of the Saint Therese executive management team promoting the advancement of the organization as a whole.
- Resolves customer concerns by taking prompt, active steps.
- Implements and monitors marketing program.
- Provides requested information to CEO and Board of Directors; attends board meetings.
- Participates in Aging Services of Minnesota or LeadingAge programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
MN Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
Experience:
7-10 years of progressive senior living operations and leadership experience, including at least two years leading a full-continuum or CCRC campus
Special knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, families and customers
- Promote and assure safe, quality client and resident careLead, direct and provide continuous improvement and best practice
- Passion for caring for older adults
- Identify and measure quality indicators translating to quantifiable outcomes
- Demonstrate successful business development and growth in services
- Strong financial acumen and fiscal/budget experience
- Strong MS Office proficiency
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
