Education/Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in education
• Valid Texas teaching certificate in the area of Mathematics within the grade levels assigned
• Valid ESL endorsement, if applicable
• Grades K-4: Valid Reading Academy Certificate of Completion, if applicable

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of instructional strategies/interventions for at-risk students
• Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
• Strong organization, planning, communication, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
• Working knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and staff development
• Strong knowledge of mathematical best practices connected to CISD SOLVES
• Strong knowledge of Guided Math practices
• Training and thorough understanding of the Math Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
• Current training and thorough knowledge of creating quality common formative assessments
