Job Description
As a member of our Cargo team you will be responsible for the safe and efficient build up and break down of freight pallets. The ability to interpret airway bills, bills of landing, and freight manifests in order to sort freight effectively via forklift to storage racks, shelves, or bins in designated storage areas is necessary. The handling and storage of dangerous goods may also be required.
You will be driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles at times and as such you will require a valid driver’s license.
You will be required to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures. We cross-train our employees so you may be expected to work in other areas of the operation. We provide classroom and on the job training to ensure you are fully trained for your new position prior to starting.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
To be part of our high performing team, you will need to be at least 18 years of age. In order to obtain an airport identification badge with a customs seal you will need to pass a drug screen, FBI background test, and be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently.
The job is done both in and outdoors which will require you to work in all weather conditions. You will be handling cargo/ freight which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs continuously. A flexible schedule is preferable due to the ever changing airline schedules.
Any prior cargo experience you have is preferable.
