About Bao by Kaya
Bao by Kaya is an established street food vendor in NYC specializing in Taiwanese style sandwich, called "Guo Bao". We are looking for friendly and energetic individuals to join our team at NYC Midtown locations. Weekday shifts and noon shifts required. We are hiring for part time as well.

Responsibilities:
include and are not limited to:
- Operate POS register to complete customer transactions
- Learn and maintain knowledge of our menu to effectively communicate all ingredients to guests
- Maintain cleanliness of front line, take out trash. Restock utensils, napkins, beverage station.
- Ensure all food on the line meets food safety and quality standards
- Set up, maintain and break down front line area
- Greet guests, resolve guest issues and properly inform guests of cashless transactions
Preferred
- Prior Food, Restaurant, Team and/or Customer Service experience
- Able to manage fast pace work flow
- Weekday schedule
- Familiar with Chinese language and Asian street food are a plus
- Have a NYC Food Handler's License (plus)
- A team player with a positive can-do attitude
- Quick and adaptable learner
- Excellent and collaborative communication skills
- Accountable in upholding high standards
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend information at a close range at a close range, and follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Ability to use electronic systems, such as computers and tablets.
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Continuously bend, reach, twist, and use your hands and arms.
- Operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- Subject to exposure to cleaning chemicals
Promotion:
Advancement to shift leader/assistant manager/general manager. We're looking for people who have what it takes to grow with us! The best crew members will be fast tracked to shift supervisors and upwards.
