We are hiring for positions all over the Charleston County area: Downtown, Hollywood, Mount Pleasant, McClellanville, Edisto, West Ashley, James Island, Johns Island, and North Charleston.
Thank you for your interest in Kaleidoscope's After-School Program. Kaleidoscope has openings for Counselor and Assistant Site Coordinator positions at our 50 elementary schools throughout the Charleston County School District. During the academic year the afternoon programs operate from 2:00 - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday (flexible). Morning care operates from 6:30 - 8:00 am, Monday - Friday. We welcome creative, enthusiastic individuals that will be a positive role model to our youth and demonstrate initiative in planning and instructing youth activities with a purpose to join our team!
The starting pay rates:
Morning/Afternoon Counselor | $17.00 per hour
Assistant Site Coordinator | $19.00 per hour
- Counselors plan and engage in activities for small groups on a daily basis and provide continuous supervision and interaction with elementary school students both indoors and outdoors. Stays with assigned group and never leaves children unattended.
- Demonstrate respect for children and families. Promote the concepts of responsibility and cooperation.
- Assist the Site Coordinator in providing all services and reports. Execute planned activities as determined by the Site Coordinator.
- Provide assistance in homework supervision, distribution of snacks, supplies, and taking accurate attendance.
- Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
