Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and maintained in a healthcare facility. The Central Sterile Processing Technician will work closely with the surgical team and administrative staff to ensure that all instruments and equipment are prepared and available for surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sterilize all medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Prepare and package surgical instruments and equipment for use in surgical procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and administrative staff to ensure that all instruments and equipment are properly prepared and available for use.
• Respond to requests for equipment and instrument sterilization in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to infection control guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Central Sterile Processing Technician program or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Central Sterile Processing Technician.
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols and techniques.
• Ability to use and maintain sterilization equipment and instruments.
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands:

• The position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
