Chocolate Production Kitchen
Ghyslain Chocolatier is looking for individuals to join our production team. A full-time position is available for the Chocolate Production Kitchen for our family-owned and operated Artisan Center and Boutique in Union City, Indiana.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in the production of gourmet handmade chocolates
- Operating an automatic chocolate tempering machine
- Conforms to established batch quantities for all recipes.
- Performs tasks in a timely manner to meet production goals.
- Willing to rotate into other departments as needed
- Assure compliance with health and safety codes relevant to kitchen and food manufacturing
- Strong work ethic and excellent attendance record
- Performs other duties as assigned
Special Job Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to apply principles of quantity production including safe food handling, small batch production within HACCP
- Ability to weigh and measure ingredients
Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Work quickly and efficiently with their hands
- Excellent listening skills, demonstrates teamwork and the ability to pay attention to detail.
- Comfortable working on their feet all day (Standing/walking on hard floors throughout workday)
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Artistic background a plus
