Torrent is seeking candidates for the following position based in either Kalispell or Overland Park office:

Claims Manager

What can you expect?

• Support a team of experienced claims professionals assigned to a customer contract supporting the National Flood Insurance Program.

• Proactively manage, lead and coach colleagues to achieve contractual SLA’s and deliverables, internal KPI’s and drive client satisfaction for claims servicing during normal and large events.

• Provide claims expertise/guidance to internal and external stakeholders for all technical and procedural inquiries.

• Work closely with claims management team to evaluate and implement claims operations strategy.

• Instigate and oversee strategies to resolve business issues and achieve the best possible outcome for Torrent and their clients.

• Build and maintain a positive and supportive team environment that encourages staff motivation and effectiveness

We will count on you to:

• Build and maintain a positive and supportive team environment within the claims team.

• Ensure team performance meets quality & timeliness thresholds stipulated by client agreements, internal guidelines & regulatory authorities

• Monitor service deliverables ensuring tasks completed within criteria agreed in client service agreements, internal and regulatory guidelines.

• Identify emerging risks, assess, register and escalate to senior management where appropriate.

• Provide claims expertise/guidance to internal and external stakeholders for all technical and procedural inquiries

• Implement continuous improvement strategies / processes / tools / systems to enhance efficiency for colleagues, agents, policyholders and Customer.

• Serve as a key leader and interface for the customer

• Oversee on-site disaster operations support upon notification on-site is needed

What you need to have:

• The successful candidate should have at least 7 years of experience managing a large claims team and operation

• At least one year of experience in property insurance claims

• At least three years of experience in commercial insurance claims

• Be an NFIP certified adjuster
