Guaranteed 40 hours at the Portola location even if there are no staffing needs at other locations.Must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Prior banking/sales and cash handling experience preferred. Must have excellent customer service, phone and computer skills with Excel and Word knowledge. Ability to work in a team environment and establish and maintain customer relationships. Salary range for this position is $18.00/hr to $29.95/hr DOE.

Essential Job Functions

• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, exchange negotiable instruments and all other related transactions following bank policy and procedure within assigned employee limits;
• Balance and manage individual cash drawer limits following bank policy and procedure within assigned employee limits;
• Cultivate customer retention by conducting assigned touch calls to promote customer care, discuss strategies and cross-sell products helpful to the customers’ needs. Use product knowledge to educate customers on issues such as fraud, cam alerts, prism alerts, account fees and any changes that may impact customers;
• Utilize the knowledge of the banks’ products and services to recognize if the current product or service is the best fit for the customer. Be able to refer customers to the appropriate staff members, if necessary, or help customers with questions and concerns regarding ATM cards, ATM transactions, checkbook balancing, stop payments, account fees, foreign currency, check adjustments, account types and documentation;
• Assist staff members with maintaining branch retention;
• Assist customers with opening new accounts, account questions and supercedes by following banking regulations with bank policy and procedure for example: trust accounts, all business account types, etc.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 1 or more years experience in Retail or Customer Service. Cash handling experience preferred.
• Must have excellent customer service and phone skills, good computer skills w/Excel & Word knowledge.
• Must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
