Summary of Position:

This position will program, set up and operates CNC equipment to keep WARDJet production on schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

·Set up, operate and edit programs for all machining centers

·Set up weldments on mill(s)

·Participates in Continuous Improvement Teams

·Follows all Safety and Quality criteria

·Gives feedback to Engineering Department

·Understand and prepare the best tooling required for each job

·Keep machining area clean

·Use conventional machining equipment (lathe, drill press, Bridgeport, band saw, etc.)

·Preventative maintenance on machines

·Must have a quality mindset and will perform inspections on production parts, theirs and other associates as required.

·Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC machining and Programming

·Operation of CNC 5 Axis Giddings & Lewis (strongly desired)

·Haas operating experience (required)

·Experience in manual machining (lathe, drill press, Bridgeport, band saw, etc.)

·Able to read and interpret drawings accurately

·Strong M and G code knowledge for both Giddings & Lewis and Haas (preferred)

·Excellent math skills

·Able to maintain a clean work environment

·Knowledgeable and experienced with standard “hand” inspection equipment.

·Able to follow verbal directions precisely

·Attention to detail

Other Requirements:

·Regular attendance is required. The employee is required to physically be at the WARDJet facility during their scheduled work hours (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) unless approved otherwise by supervisor.

·A valid driver’s license

·Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

·Able to stand for long periods of time

·Able and willing to comply with all company safety rules and regulations

·Must provide own hand tools and toolbox

·Able and willing to work overtime with little to no forewarning

·Able to operate an overhead crane and tow motor

Able to work in a non-air conditioned facility

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
