Job Description:

You will setup, maintain, operate and load the CNC Plasma, or our Trumpf Fiber Laser cutting machine.Your responsibilities in this career have you selecting lenses, loading programs, and calculating machine specs and parameters based on the thickness and type of material use. You then cut the material and prepare products for the the other factorys departments. Another role is to keep the area organized and clean. Your duties have you set up and operate the equipment and assist other machine operators. As a laser or plasma machine operator, you work in a fast-paced environment, so you must be able to follow complicated instruction closely.

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate the CNC Laser (Messer CNC Plasma)

• Set up and operate the Trumpf Fiber Laser

• Perform material handling functions, including loading material for job runs.

• Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance

• Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.

• Maintain shop, tools and other equipment.

Special Skills:

• Requires 1-2 years of CNC Laser/ Plasma experience in a metal manufacturing environment
• Understanding of flat print drawings is desired
• Forklift experience
• Must be able to lift 70+ lbs., stand on feet for 8 or more hours, work in hot environment, must have a way to commute to Bradley, IL daily
• Must be an independent worker who can be given tasks to complete without constant supervision after initial training

Work Experience Required:

• CNC Laser: 5 years
• Laser Operator: 5 years
