Position Summary

Delva Tool (DTM), a CMT company, is seeking a CNC Lathe Programmer for our Cinnaminson, NJ location. The CNC Lathe Programmer is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include the development of machining processes, tooling, programming, and fixturing for all jobs at Delva Tool & Machine. *This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm. Our work area is 100% climate controlled!*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes CAD/CAM software to develop programs to control contour-path machining of metal parts on 3 through 5 axis machine tools.
• Utilizes CAM software to develop programs for CNC lathe with twin spindles, live tooling and multiple axis’s
• Provides tool designs and concepts to achieve end item product build and production rate working within engineering and quality specifications.
• Ensures conformance to established procedures and quality level.
• Ensures conformance to Customer Engineering and Specifications.
• Analyzes drawings and part design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates, according to knowledge of machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities.
• Continuous improvement of cutting methods to reduce cost and improve quality.
• Creates fixture setup documents and planning outlines for CNC programming.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of extensive experience with Mastercam CNC Programming software.
• 3+ years of CNC turning with twin spindle, twin turret, and Swiss experience preferred.
• Experience in or knowledge of all machining practices, tool design and GD&T.
• Experience in or knowledge of lean manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CNC programming.
